Membership Requirements

​Eligibility

 

Any woman at least 18 years of age, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible. Patriots are soldiers or others who contributed to the cause of American freedom.

The applicant must complete an application for membership form. She will be asked to provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death on her application. This shall include the applicant's birth certificate naming her parents. This applies to "new ancestors" and to previously accepted lineages for which documentation was not required at the time they were submitted. The National Society reserves the right to determine the acceptability of all proofs/documentation submitted with an application.
